Quick Search: Jump to Any Resource

Real Python has a quick search feature that lets you jump to any resource on Real Python with just a few key strokes:

You can use quick search to quickly access any resource on Real Python, including tutorials, courses, podcasts, and menu items (like account settings or the homepage).

Activating Quick Search

To activate the quick search, focus the search box in the navigation bar. Or use any of the following keyboard shortcuts to activate the quick search from anywhere on the page:

/ (forward slash)
Ctrl+J
Super+J (e.g. ⌘+J on macOS)

Navigating Quick Search Results

When quick search is active, use the mouse or the following keyboard shortcuts to navigate search results:

Cursor Up / Cursor Down to select search results
Enter / Return to navigate to the selected search result
Esc to exit and close quick search

Advanced Search Filters

To access advanced search filters and personalized search results in our full search experience, do one of the following:

Press Enter / Return without selecting a quick search result
Select the Show full search results & advanced filters option in the quick search menu
